My other order arrived yesterday and when I got it, I felt “Ay halos parehas lang ha”.

And this is in Smitten.

I’ve been seeing/hearing/reading nothing but good reviews for this product, and the moment I saw it, I knew I had to get it! Balm + stain = Pure genius. I’m all about long lasting products that need to to be retouched every so often, just because I’m lazy like that. 

The thing about this product, is it’s difficult to get a hold of here in the Philippines. I found a couple of online shops on Multiply, but it’s preorder basis. Luckily, I don’t know how or why, Bon Marche had an available stock of the color I want! Yipee! So I bought it right away! Thanks Multiply for the free shipping! Yay! And oh, this is only 400Php. I found another online shop which sells for 600Php (and I purchased from that shop the same product but different shade on a whim). Anyway, I’m so glad this already arrived. Shipping was interrupted because of the heavy rains here.

So here it is~

The shade is in Lovesick. :) It’s pink with an orchid-ish undertone. Which is my go to lip-color.

Packaging is good. It comes with a twisty-bottom part so no need to sharpen it.

It’s very pigmented. I can’t say anything about the longevity of the product just yet cause I haven’t tried using it yet. It’s a bit sticky, but not lipgloss-sticky, and it’s not creamy. But it is moisturizing. And I love the minty smell of it.

I shall use this one of these days and create an in-depth review. ;)

Hello, it has been two months since I last updated this blog. Apologies on the long hiatus. A lot has happened and I kinda lost touch of my self and my love for makeup. I was planning to put up videos but haven’t really worked on it. I did promise myself to cut on the unnecessary makeup splurges, just so I can splurge on something I need more. Plus, I’m a tad sick right now. But I am promising one thing, I’ll be updating this blog sometime next week. Clue: It’s ‘kissable’. It’s a balm. It’s a stain. ;)

YAY OR NAY?

My first Ever Bilena lipstick, not because I don’t buy from Ever Bilena because I’m a brand whore. Ever Bilena is just a brand I would usually go to whenever I’m in Watson’s or in a department store. I’d usually steer to Nichido. Anyway, enough with the blabbing.. I’ve decided to pick one up from Ever Bilena because Pinay YT gurus has much respect for this line. 

Here it is Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick! It comes in a box, very chic I must say!

And this only costs Php 145, I really never thought that this is *this* affordable! 

The shade is in Pink Flame. 

And the packaging is actually nice. The design is very simple, nothing over the top and just plain classy. The downside of this is it’s literally made of plastic. Tho it’s not flimsy, when you twist it, it seems pretty sturdy. But it does feel like it’s made of empty plastic.

And I did check if the cap really has the same product in the top part! :P

And here is the color! It’s a very pretty Barbie-but-warmer-pink type of color. And yes, it’s matte. It can be drying so you really need to moisturize your lips beforehand.

It’s not long lasting, that’s the thing about it. And it can be very drying. Those are the factors why I don’t use it as much. But overall, it’s really not bad for Php 145! Will I buy another one? We’ll see. I haven’t fully appreciated all the colors available.

So yesterday, I went to school to enroll. I brought my big tote instead of the usual bag I bring. And here are the things I’ve decided to bring along. :)

1. (Originally) My card holder. I bring this because this has my government IDs that wouldn’t fit in my other card holder! 
2. My (Other) card holder which has my ATM, credit card, discount cards, etc. :) 
3. My school thing. This has all my school documents!
4. Alcohol+sanitizer. I don’t know why I brought both. 
5. Crackers! Cause I don’t eat at school!
6. Face moisturizer. I don’t know, I just decided to bring this.. 
7. Makeup bag.
8. Notebook.
9. Pens.
10. Cellphone.
11. iPod and earphones. Cause I know I’ll be waiting for a looooong time.
12. Body mist.
13. Pamaypay. Cause it’ll be humid.
14. Umbrella. In case it rains.
15. Sunglasses. In case it’s too sunny. :P

**I’m just sharing a technique that I’ve learned through someone else that really works for me. I’m not saying that this is the best, but this may work for you and it’s worth a try! :) **

Step 1. Condition your lips! Always always always condition your lips before hand. It’ll be best to apply your favorite lip balm after applying your moisturizer, before applying all of your makeup, this’ll give time for your lips to absorb the product. Usually, if you apply your lip balm right before you apply your lipstick, it’ll just smudge off. 

Step 2. Use a tissue, any kind of tissue would work..

After applying the lipstick of your choice, dab the tissue on your lips. DO NOT WIPE IT OFF. Just dab it. This’ll prep your lips for the second layer of lipstick. Doing so will make the color of your lips standout without overdoing it, it’ll also would not look caked up. (The idea of a lip liner would be pretty much the same.)

AND YOU’RE DONE~! :) This will help your lipstick in lasting longer! 

Of course this isn’t the only way. You can also use a setting/finishing/loose powder to set your lipstick.

Or, you can use a lip liner. 

Again. This’ll all boil down to whichever would work best for you, etc.

I just bought a couple of items the other day and yesterday. This is just a super minihaul. Just three items. LOL. 

The first item that I got is from Maybelline. It’s The Hyper Curl Volum Express. 

And this costs.. 

Php 249. :) 

I’m not a huge fan of mascaras in general, like what I’ve said in a previous entry, I really don’t need them since my lashes would stay curled the whole day. But you know, it’s good to have a mascara, especially for special occasions. I got this because this is the cheapest of the bunch from Maybelline. HAHA. But I really like this. No clumps and it literally gives your lashes volume! :) 

The next item that I’ve got is from Fanny Serano, it’s their long wear gel liner. I’ve seen a lot of Pinay gurus from YT use this.

This costs..

Php 225. If you purchase one with a brush, it’ll cost you Php 299. Buti nalang the sales lady told me you can get one without a brush. 

This is what it looks like inside, it’s in a frosted glass with hard plastic lid. Very chic!

And it has a good amount of product inside.

Swatch -

Used with a liner brush / with finger. It’s super pigmented and very creamy, very easy to use. And truly it is long lasting. I’ve used it for around 10 hours in a bit of a bitchy weather/temperature and it didn’t smudged or fade.

And the last item that I got is just a storage piece. I ran out of place to put in my stuff so I decided to get another basket. I usually buy my stuff from Saizen or Daiso cause it’ll only cost me Php 88/85 pesos. Lol! I picked up a basket and when I was about to pay for it, it’s 2 for 1! :D YAY!

If you know me personally, you would know that I’m not into full-coverage foundations. I use foundation mainly for two things, oil control and to even out my skin tone (and I don’t use concealer on most days too). I also do not like my foundation really heavy on the skin, which is the reason why I prefer sheer-coverage foundations.

Mineral foundations also are my thing since they’re loose and very lightweight on the skin. True enough, Krave Minerale’s Complexion Perfection Loose Mineral Foundation did not fail me! It’s love at first use! I love the fact that it’s super lightweight, and it feels as if my skin can still breathe with this on. It also gives your skin a flawless finish, not flat-out matte, but it looks glowing healthy skin. I’ve also noticed that even if you’ve had this on for a couple of hours and even if the weather’s pretty darn bitchy, it doesn’t melt off of your face + your face doesn’t look haggard as much. So you really don’t have to retouch as much. 

Aside from the things I’ve mentioned, this is hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic and non-acnegenic. So if you’re easily irritated by makeups found in the market, you might wanna try using Krave Minerale’s products! I’ve tried this product on long *irritatingly humid* days and it doesn’t break me out. :-) 

This product really is worth trying, especially if you’re into mineral makeups. :)

If you know me personally, I really don’t spend as much on clothes because I’m already spending a lot on makeup . Don’t even think that I’m bragging on this entry.

I’ve been waiting for Forever 21’s opening on SM-North Edsa because all of their branches are too far from where I’m located. But, I did missed the opening. Haha! So yesterday, after the shoot, I decided to drop by and pick up an item or two. What I had in mind are floral jumpshorts/rompers. And I wasn’t able find one. :| So I got these instead!

My most favorite of the bunch is this.. It’s a turquoise spaghetti top. (I don’t know why it’s not picking up turquoise on the camera)

I got a denim shorts as well which fits perfectly on the waist. Now I know, I’m really a size 24.

I won’t show you what the boyleg lace undies looks like, but I’ll just show a bit of it  and the tag price. :) It is in a flashy neon pink color!

And the last but certainly not the least, my savior this summer! Cause I can’t stand wearing flipflops in the city and the strappy sandals that I have are a bit of a bitch to walk with.

I have purchased twice from Digital Traincase and they have never failed to impress me. I’ve been buying goods online ever since I was 16 and by far I can say that this is the best online shop that I’ve encountered. 

They’re on Multiply which makes shopping a lot easier! Aside from having a wide selection of products, from US to Asian to UK, they also sell nail polishes! So if you’re a big fan of polishes, you might wanna check out their page. :) But what I do love about them the most is how fast and hassle free transacting with them is. The first time I ordered from them was January 26th. I ordered DUO Lash glue for Php 500 (which btw, costs Php 700 in the mall). My order arrived by January 27th!! Overnight delivery for the win!

I’ve already hit pan with my The Body Shop’s pressed powder, but before completely using it all up, I’ve managed to break it! Ughhh thy clumsy self!

BUT! Before you decide to throw your broken *whatever* / pressed powder (like mine), you might wanna try this quick fix first. I’ve read somewhere that you can actually try to revive it.

I’m sorry I wasn’t able to take a picture of what I did. But basically, all you need to do is crush what’s left of your broken powder and then evenly flatten it in the pan.

What I did next was I sprayed some alcohol (since this seems the most controllable that you can do so you wouldn’t flood your pan) onto the pan. You don’t have to make it mish-mushy, all you need is enough to cover the whole pan.

So that’s what it’ll look like. Leave it overnight to dry. And it’ll be *compact* and less messy again! :D 

I finally got around in making this blog entry. I ordered these from Make Up Hub By Naturele Collezione two weeks ago if I’m not mistaken, and these arrived at home when I was in Quezon last weekend. 

I ordered two lipsticks and a cheek tint. 

Here is the Moisture Effect Hush Hush (P300). It’s a pale milky pink color. Personally, this wouldn’t work for me cause it’s too milky-pink.Haha. The scent of it is really nice. I can’t really say what scent it has, but I really love it.

On the tube it looks like nude right?

Another lipstick that I got is Matte Effect Vixen (P300). I ordered this because I thought it was a deep red color. It is, but it has a plum or purple undertone. Scent is the same.

And here’s me wearing it (taken with instagram, and NO, my skin isn’t that fair. It’s just the white lights. :P). I love this. I really do. Color payoff is wonderful. Lasting power, I can’t really comment on that. I wore this for roughly 2-3 hours (no eating/drinking). 

And my last purchase is The Cheek Of It Blush Stick (P330).

I got this blush stick because I’m all about easy makeup application. Color payoff is good actually. But it has shimmers in it. I don’t know what those are but it does have some specks of shimmers in it. I haven’t really tried using this outside, but I have tried testing this product. I don’t know if I may have applied a little too much but it feels a bit heavy on the skin. I’ll try using it again and will let you guys know if it’s the same. 

Overall the products that I’ve purchased are good. Will I buy them again? I don’t know just yet. Oh, one thing that I do not like about the lipsticks, the case are a bit flimsy. My lipsticks from Nichido has more sturdy cases compared to the ones I got.

Let me just explain first.

• This isn’t really something I planned.
• I’m bored.
• Still working on improving the lighting in my room. :) 
• HAHA, I’m a tad shy in recording myself doing my makeup.
• So technically, this is just a trial for the lighting I’m trying out!
• There are pictures of me not looking at the camera. IDK why. Haha!
• I’ve already done my concealer and foundation when I began the “tutorial”. 
• You don’t have to use the exact same products that I used! :)

Products used:

• NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk
• Champagne colored eyeshadow from the Dollface Cosmetics’ Avant Garde palette
• Maybelline Expert Wear Quad - Crease and Liner color
• Nichido Mineral Liquid Liner
• NYX Blush in Dusty Rose
• The Body Shop Cranberry Joy Lipbalm
• NYX Matte Lipstick in Bloody Mary

Again, I’ve already applied a primer (ELF Mineral Infused Primer from their studio line), used concealer on my undereye (ELF Color Correcting Concealer + Nichido stick foundation) and set it with a powder foundation (Mac Studio Fix Powder Foundation). This is also my best attempt in defining my brows. :/ I need to have it thread. 

I began with using the jumbo pencil as a base, I’ve applied it all over my lid.

I’m setting it with a champagne colored eyeshadow.. Again all over the lids.

I used the third color on the first row. It’s not too shimmery yet not too matte. 

Now using the crease color from the Maybelline quad, just pack the color on your crease to give definition to your eyes. 

Using the Liner color again from the same quad and an angled brush, just apply it to the half of your lower lash line. Feel free to apply a pencil liner to your water line.

After that, using the liquid liner, make sure to line it as close to your lids as possible. No wings for this since our focus is the lips.

Curl your lashes as you normally do. Use a mascara to hold your curls. (I didn’t used any mascara cause I don’t use mascara personally, my lashes are cooperative enough to stay curled for a long time even without a mascara. :P)

Apply your favorite blush on the apples of your cheek.

Moisturize your lips using your favorite lip balm.

And now the fun part. Apply your trusty red lipstick. Use a lip brush on the edges of your lips for a more precise application.

My cousin just got back from Hawaii and gave me this as a pasalubong. This is the ExpertWear® Eyeshadow Quad in Chai Latte. I might be wrong cause I’ve been trying to look for this kind of quad, but I don’t think that this is available locally (PI), cause the only quads I’m seeing on Maybelline counters are the Silk Eyeshadow. 

So here’s what it looks like! It comes with four colors and two sponge-tip applicators. The shadows are labeled with numbers, 1 Base 2 Lid 3 Crease 4 Liner. :)

Right at the back you would see the application instructions and which goes where. 

I’m very excited to use this quad because it’s the season for the wearable-brown smokey look. Hahaha. 

Here are the swatches. No primers whatsoever. On my fingers the shadows look very pretty…

But no.. It’s very sheer. Not even buildable. Imagine my disappointment when I literally had to rub the shadow, especially the 1Base! I’m very disappointed with this quad. I know how great eyeshadows from Maybelline are.. And I don’t know if I got a defective one!

And yes, I did try to use this quad and I followed the instructions. I used ELF Mineral Infused Face Primer (to which I will do a review cause this product is too good!). I used for the all over lid color (1 Base) an eyeshadow brush, I’ve used the sponge tip applicator that came with it, but to no avail, I still have difficulty in trying to pickup the product or pack my brush/sponge with the shadow.. Too sheer. And when you try to build it, it looks a bit chalky. Not happy with that. The 2 Lid color is actually very beautiful, but the staying power isn’t that good. I like the 4 Liner color because I feel that it’ll be perfect for the daytime smokey eye look. 3 Crease color isn’t too bad, especially.. Of course.. On the crease. But you have to really build it to achieve that beautiful color. 

This is the only decent picture that I got because the lighting in my room isn’t very good. And yes, I have my eyes closed, and I’m sitting on the floor. Haha! And excuse my ugly walls as well. 

All in all, this quad is pretty disappointing. But I think I have ideas on how to use it. 

Overall rating: 6/10 I just really hate the fact that I couldn’t pick up any product on the Base color!

So here’s a review about a product I’ve had for a little while now. This review has been pending in my head because I haven’t really loved this that’s why I don’t feel very enthusiastic in giving a review for this product. 

But anyway, here it is! This tinted moisturizer from the ELF’s studio line has been given much positive feedback (at least on the videos I’ve seen). 

It comes in this little sleek packaging when you purchase it. It’s a tube which has fairly good amount of product. Well, 0.88 fl.oz / 25ml to be exact. :) 

What I do not like about this is this is only available in two shades. That’s in SMF and SM-North departments store. You won’t be able to find this in Trinoma or in Crossings-The Ramp. This is the darker shade, the sales lady tried talking me into it by saying “For light and dark skins po yan ma’am, one shade fits all” (or something to that extent).

This is in Nude, I couldn’t recall what’s the name of the lighter shade.

This costs Php 249.75, which is the “generic” price for the studio line. (Which in the US it’s 3$.)

Again, it comes in a tube, which is good because it’s very hygienic and wouldn’t get contaminated.

Now here’s what the product looks like. The consistency is great. It’s not runny yet very blendable. I would say that a little product would go a long way. Coverage wise, since this is just a tinted moisturizer it gives a very light yet decent coverage. It also has a scent that smells like sunblock, but just a very subtle hint of it. 

And here’s what it looks like when blended. I’m sorry I have no pics of it on my face. Now here’s what I do not like about this product. Somehow the “tint” separates to the “moisturizer” when blended on the face, you’d notice it along the hair line. And it’s not as moisturizing as a moisturizer. Does that make sense? I discontinued using this after a week or two only because it doesn’t moisturize my face that well. One day I found myself going back to my good ol’ moisturizer because I found no sense in using this product at all.

This product can be applied with fingers or a flat top brush. Fingers would be fine anyways. :)

Overall, it isn’t that bad. It just didn’t worked out well for me.

Would I buy it again? No. I can’t even use all of this product up. Haha!
